Canberra is the capital of Australia, it's a best keep secret. Quiet, peaceful, educated, people are well dressed but casual. It may does not offer a vibrant nightlife, but instead you will be surrounded by nature
Posted: August 9, 2024Canberra has always been a place in which I feel is very safe. With large amounts of people around and such a welcoming community, I would consider it very safe. There is always risk of threat (drink spiking, rape or assault) within the community as unfortunately it would be considered uncommon if this wasn't prevalent in society.

Canberra is a public service town where majority of population is well educated and work with government. This makes the place safe and to be honest, never heard of any issue in town other than stolen bikes.
