Variation amount suburbs but I feel safe in my area of Palm beach on the Gold Coast. Streets are well maintained and there are lots of opportunities to enjoy local shops and beaches with peace of mind.
Posted: March 28, 2024I solo travelled to the Gold Coast alone for 10 months. It is a place I love so much and really enjoyed. I never felt unsafe there. Never had problems walking around alone at night, although it’s something I don’t recommend. People there are very friendly and easy to come in contact with. Going to the beach is a must! Burleigh beach, Tallebudgera Creek and Rainbow bay are my favorites! Watching the sunsets and sunrises while sitting at the beach is just incredible. For food I recommend Paddock’s bakery and Helen’s Heavenly Wholefoods cafe for the best açaí bowls! To get around buses work great, get a go kart as soon as you get there. Safe travels❤️!
