The Sunshine Coast is a very safe area. I think it is one of the safest places I have felt as a woman. People will always look out for you and there is always a safe place to go if anything goes wrong. Obviously there is always going to be an occasional creep but in general men are very respectful towards women and will look out for your safety.
Posted: July 2, 2024It’s a beautiful beach town; not a lot of crime. Lots of families and beautiful beaches. Everyone is very friendly and nice. Good food and good culture. Noosa is the best part with good hostels. Lots of backpackers
Posted: June 20, 2024I find the Sunshine Coast an openly welcoming place. Most people are very relaxed and helpful. I’ve visited the area many times over the years, travelling via different modes of transportation - all of which were safe.

One of the safest places I’ve ever been to. People are friendly and helpful. I‘ve never had an issue myself. I think it is one of the safest place to live. It‘s always good to be conscious though as anywhere else.

Very safe area. I live on Kawana Island although you wouldn’t know it’s an island as it’s not in the sea but around a canal area called Parrearra. It’s a nice area to take a stroll and there’s a good restaurant in walking distance.

I have been to the Sunshine coast more than once, albeit some years ago now, the 1st time with my brother, then the next 2 times it was with my Mum. I absolutely love it there on all levels. Have also been to the Gold Coast and love that too
