Mackay is a pleasant town with lots of beautiful beaches and rainforests. The crime rate is only very minor in the city and normally is just kids mucking around. Mackay has lots of people working in mining industries or sugar cane farming. A nice place for settling families with children. Close by to Airlie Beach 30min drive which hosts the Great Barrier Reef. A relaxed town with relaxed people come and find out yourself.
