Brisbane is very safe, you can go for a walk in the middle of the night and nothing is gonna happen with you, you can go out with any clothes, no one is gonna mess with you or anyone. It’s a beautiful city, lots of parks and shopping

Brisbane is a very safe place. Women should always take standard precautions after dark, however public transport, taxis, Ubers are all considered generally very safe. Crime rates are low and public areas are generally well lit at night.
Posted: January 5, 2025Brisbane is generally really safe, other than a few break ins, nothing happens that is dangerous. Brisbane is well light after dark, so it is easy to get around and feel safe. And the police are always easy to reach. Though most people would be happy to help as Australians are very social and helpful people.

I walk alone in Brisbane at night all the time and catch public transport alone and I am never worried nor have I ever felt unsafe. Someone on drugs maybe once or twice but they typically leave everyone alone. I have never felt unsafe.
Posted: January 2, 2025brisbane is a relatively safe city but there is an ongoing rise in crime especially on public transport, crimes like being robbed, having your car stolen or having to forcefully hand over your personal items is becoming really popular. during the day it’s not really a concern depending on what area you’re in, but at night it’s 100% different
Posted: December 30, 2024very safe, i’m a generally anxious person person and very concerned about safety but have been okay even walking at night. even some of the buses/trains at night have security guards on them which aids in the over all feeling of safety
Posted: December 24, 2024I caught public transport all the time to get to school not once has anything happened and the best part is if you need help don’t be afraid to ask, majority of the people are actually really nice. The city is always buzzing with people and there are police located around the streets if you need help. As much as I say Brisbane is a safe city things to happed and I have to admit every thing is safer with a friend, it also makes everything more comfortable.

Brisbane is normally pretty safe. There are heaps of sketchy characters around on public transport and at night. Clubbing is generally okay but always go with some friends as men can be very gross and touchy.
Posted: September 6, 2024Brisbane city is very safe during the day, there are constantly people nearby, however I wouldn’t recommend walking by yourself at night just in case. We have lots of safe suburbs, but there are some dodgy ones unfortunately.

Brisbane is generally safe and has a thriving nightlife so there is often people all around. There can be some catcalling or unwanted attention, as we do have a high level of addiction and homelessness in the city. It is generally safe and comfortable to travel on public transport, particularly busses and there is often security at night. Overall I stay on guard but I have never been attacked or assaulted or had anything stolen my entire life, so I regard it as a safe city.

There are plenty of nice cafes and places to eat! I also love walking by the river at Kangaroo Point and New Farm or attending a salsa class in West End. However, safety at night can be a concern, I wouldn’t walk alone at night.
