Bendigo, like any small city in the world is safe but you still need to exercise caution around busy bus stops and certain streets. I have walked home at night many times and feel safe. I would just use your instincts and avoid talking to people who may seem ‘dodgy’ but most people are friendly and helpful. We’re not as large and overwhelming as big cities such as Sydney or Melbourne.

I am a mature solo female traveller. I look forward to meeting other female travellers from all over the world. I am tidy and respectful but love to go out exploring and seeing live music and art galleries.

Hi, I'm Culley. 39 year old female. I've lived in Bendigo since May last year (2023) and have been struggling with finding a house because of the housing crisis. Have been couch surfing at friends houses mostly on and off. I would really appreciate any help you can give me for a few nights or weeks in somewhere to stay, tyia x
