Is Berlin Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

I felt safe because a lot of people are open-minded, and in such a big city, you don't feel alone. The great thing is that there are all kinds of people. I really love going to Berlin Mitte in the spring and summer. It's such a great place for shopping for good clothes, eating yummy food, and the vibe is refreshing and nice.

I love Berlin! I felt safe and sound. Night life was amazing, the hostel and hosts were great. Tresor techno club was very tourist friendly. 22 euro for 8 h of dance. Food was great! I will definitely visit again 😊

I love Berlin. It's my favorite city. There are museums and thrift stores everywhere. The atmosphere of the biergaten is super cool. I went there with my family, as a couple and solo, and each time, it was a great experience.

When I was in Berlin I felt safe, I meet so many good people who became my friends... It is really a big city so if don't have a bike , you will have to pay an average amount for public transport. It is a strange and astonishing city, don't miss it !

Berlin has beautiful parks and outdoor pools. I have also experienced the Balinese inspired sauna Vabali which was amazing. Biking in the parks when it’s dark felt unsafe, lots of drug dealers. Overall, the city is a mix of trashy charming places. It isn’t very well maintained nor cleaned, lots of trash on the ground.

I stayed in the Sunflower Hostel very close to many clubs including Berghain. I felt safe in the dorm situation, despite the staff being disorganized and the lodgings not the cleanest. Walking around at night there were a surprising amount of catcallers, but no men that were specifically aggressive to me or my friends. The city isn’t the best lit, there are many dark streets. I felt safest walking around with others at night! That being said, people stay out clubbing until like 8 a.m., so there’s always people outside; it’s not desolate at night. A really great city for exploring queer culture with clubs, art, music. I really enjoyed exploring many cinemas. You can really eat cheap if you stick to little cafes and kiosks, but most everything is cash only, so I recommend bringing paper currency to an exchange because atms tend to have terrible exchange rates.

I feel save in Berlin I was visiting mostly museums and art galleries. Food in Berlin is delicious and people from all over the world are just fantastic. There are many parks and you can use the bike everywhere

I was in Berlin for a project. I really like the Berlin big city and young energy. The cafe what do you fancy love is very good. I recommend visiting the opera house for music and visiting museum for some art. Definitely try berlin kebap, they taste goos and visit some cafe for relaxing afternoon chat with friends.

We stayed at friends, which financially helps us a lot, the public transport is not that cheap as well as eating out, but on the other hand you can find really good streetfood. I feel quite safe, but I think it is as every bigger city, more dangerous – people in the streets might be addicted, which can cause some bad situations … but I do not have any

I attended the pride parade in Berlin with tree other female solo travelers. It was so much fun! The whole city turned into a party playground for the whole day. Love the vibes here. Also highly recommend travelers to check out Holzmarkt and Yaam when you’re in Berlin. There are art villages built by the local communities.

There are some safe areas in Berlin, but also areas you should not go alone if you’re a woman. I live in Weißensee and feel very safe most times, also when it’s dark and late. You can use public transport. But at night you shouldn’t go alone to some areas. Then you should go by Uber or taxi.

I would say it’s pretty safe in the common areas, just some area you should avoid in the night of course just to be safe. no görli at night, some lonely streets in neukölln too but overall i think you don’t need to worry about. i feel saver here than in my little home town
