I feel safe in general as Chester is a really peaceful, chill and lovely city right near Manchester (in an hour train distance) I definitely recommend some spots to visit as follow: The Cathedral (sorry for not quoting the full name as I am writing this now without a note by my side, please find my photo helps!) The cathedral is a classic example of how the architecture of the traditional cathedral as many first-time visitors may feel surprise and stunning of. In terms of of budget, many spots are free for visiting, including the Cathedral. I just bought some beverage in Tesco there, so I canβt recommend any local restaurants.
Posted: February 12, 2024I really liked Chester. They have a fantastic zoo there and plenty to do in a small, pedestrian-friendly city. Lots of history as well. The train from Manchester, which took about an hour, stopped at the station in Chester, which is located right in the city center, making it easy to get around. I spent 3 days there and had plenty to do.
