Loved seeing the old historic buildings and especially the buildings that surround the center. It does get a bit boring if you are staying there for more than a couple days. But it has great transport and feels very safe

Cambridge is really close to Stansted airport, i just took a train to go there. It is a place full of history and you can feel the studious and chill atmosphere. Do not hesitate to do a river tour. You will see the back of the universities with some informations from your guide and it worth it.
Posted: May 13, 2024I went to Cambridge to study for a week. it was my first trip abroad and I was alone, as an anxious person I can say that Cambridge is safe, people are helpful and kind. it is a very popular place for tourists and students, full of parks and it's quite clean. it's easy to find your way around (except for the parks... they're all similar and I always got lost), I used the bus to move from one side of the city to the other, but it's also doable on foot, however the ticket didn't cost much. I was there to study in the morning, so I had breakfast and then went to class, during the afternoon I loved going to the bookshop (Waterstones) and ate at Byron's (the best burgers I've ever eaten). I often went to the park or visited nearby towns (for example, I saw Shakespeare's house). I had a budget of £100, and I came home with some left over. It's a truly beautiful place, I fell in love with it.

Cambridge is really safe, I live here for 6 years I always felt safe, people are really peaceful and never had an incident that tried to rob me or ever felt in danger, the most crime in this city is stealing bikes or stealing from shops/supermarket but usually people don’t carry knives or try to harm people, they take stuff and go peacefully away. I used to stay home in the uni until late, and go home about 4 am cycling is completely empty the streets, never had an issue. Definitely is a place in the uk I recommend to visit
Posted: December 29, 2024Cambridge feels very safe, particularly in the touristy areas. I regularly walk home alone after a night out and have never had a negative experience. The crime rate is very low. Bouncers within the clubs or pubs are very proactive and professional.
