I have lived in Rostock for over 10 years (I transplanted myself from the otherside of the planet for work). In those 10+ plus years I have visited, as a solo traveller, almost every village, town and city in the state of Mecklenberg-Vorpommern, by local transport, cycling and even walking, and I have always felt safw. If you do not speak German, you will always find someone who can help. The city of Rostock is beautiful, and you are never far from the beach. There are always events on, and a good social scene. Tipps: (1) when you are on the street, in parks, on the beach, in shops, at events or restaurants, greet people with "Moin". Its how many locals greet each other, and it may win them over. (2) hire a bike, and head over to the beachbetween Marktgrafenheide and Graal Muritz. They are mostly empty and you can relax and enjoy yourself. Bring food ans drink with you. Its FKK (nude beaches) as well. Not compulsory, but you should know.

Really safe. I personally never witnessed any Creme. I feel as safe as i can feel. Its also rallye safe for LGBTQAI+ people. In one year you hear about 2 to 3 shocking news (a gay bar was destroyed and some kids attacked euch other with knives).

Rostock is a small town which is pretty divided into two parts… inside circle of quarters has higher living standard, therefore higher class people, therefore less criminality than the outside quarters.

Rostock a spacious, windy and a very safe place. It is in located in one of the poorest regions in Germany, but has a great history, ond of the oldest universities in Germany, an astronomical clock and some really cool bars. There are quarters with different vibes. The one I live in is left-oriented and very open to diversity.

I am a 47 yr old Kiwi who has transplanted herself all the way over to the otherside of the world (Germany). I like to solo travel, where my kiwi personality helps me to connect with almost anyone. I love any kind of weather, I like to say, "there's always something exciting to do, come rain, hail, sun or storm".

Hi I‘m Alara. I am desperate for seeing the world. I would love to stay with locals and getting to know the lifestyle of actual people. I love music, i study to be a music teacher! I have many more hobbies, they are all about crafting (knitting, crochet, penpaling, journaling and so on). I also have two cats. See you soon! 🌞

Hey, I am Marie from the Baltic Sea! That rhymes - yay! I'm glad you found to my profile and I am happy to tell a bit about me. I live in Germany and currently try to find ways to live a more free life and travel around. This life is currently taking me to some interesting places and I am moved by my passion of learning. I am a lot into yoga, movement and meditation. I am working as a yoga teacher, even though my studies were directed to Agricultural Sciences. There I was able to learn about one topic that has become a big part of my life: climate change and environmental protection. I wanted to and still want to learn more about growing food, sustainability and protecting our nature. Maybe these are also some of your interests and we can connect on that… maybe I could learn about yours! :) I love traveling and just discovered alternative ways to travel: Through communities, projects, volunteering and also through people who kindly offer their homes. I love to connect and dive into other life-realities. I am an open-minded person who likes conversations and connection just as much as being introverted and independently by myself. Whatever suits the situation. :-)
