Bordeaux has an excellent and efficient public transportation system which includes buses, trams, and river shuttles, making it quite simple to navigate around. Bike rentals are also a popular option and the city is beautifully walkable, especially in the downtown area. The only possible drawback is that not all areas are easily accessible in the late hours, but overall, it should be simple for a solo traveler to get around.

Solo travel experience

I loved Bordeaux, I went on a wine tour and took a train to the sea. I also went on a bicycle tour. Bordeaux is 100% pedestrian friendly and it's beautiful.

I’ve been living in Bordeaux for almost 18 years. I went to school there, and met so many people. I love the vibe of Bordeaux, and there is so much history in this city. Always something interesting to do, so many people to meet… and enjoyment is always a thing. As a local, I found so many good spots and places that Bordeaux offers, and you should not hesitate to come if you didn’t yet! Bordeaux is a safe city. I’ve never had any problems with people at night. And public transports often end at late time, so it’s really convenient!

About me

I'm a young traveler in this moment, who travel through differents countries.
