I traveled alone in January of this year and spent a week experiencing some of the best vacations of my life. I rented a room through Airbnb and arrived at an extraordinary place with a pool and an amazing host. Each day, I visited a different place on the tours offered on the beach. I went to La Quebrada and got there just in time to see the sunset. I ate in beachside restaurants. I had a great fun and felt safe.
Posted: September 30, 2023It depends widely in what area you're in tho but Acapulco is known for being one of the unsafest cities of Mexico for a reason. I'm already living here for 4 months tho and I never had any problems. So I think if you do some research you'll be fine. Locals say, the further up the mountains you go, the more dangerous it gets. Along the Avenida costera Miguel alemán you should be fine due to the heavy military presence there. Locals are extremely kind and friendly
