Very small town in the middle of Mexico País 🇲🇽 About 4 hours away from Mexico city and two hours away from Leon guanajuato This small town I recommend to those who like art and music It's full of art/music related events, Perfect spot for those retirees Be part of an event or enjoy an event Place extremely safe for woman I walked already the place by myself at 2am on a regular thrusday Enjoy
Posted: June 22, 2024A very charming and beautiful town in central Mexico, which is worth considering as a stop on your route. I felt very safe there. Many Americans I met said the same, but they warned me against traveling at night. They mentioned several instances of airport buses being stopped, etc., and the passengers being robbed.
Posted: September 12, 2023I stayed for one and a half day, and then I decided to leave. I felt safe and never had any problems. It's a beautiful, small town, excellent for taking pictures, but quite expensive and very tourist-oriented.
Posted: July 30, 2023San Miguel was one of my favorite places in Mexico. I didn't find it more expensive than Oaxaca or CDMX. The market in San Miguel was one of my favorites.
Posted: April 12, 2023San Miguel de Allende is heavily overhyped. There are many magical towns in Mexico that have even more impressive churches, better food, culture, and handicrafts. I don't think it's that incredible compared to other places I've visited in Mexico. I was very disappointed when I went to San Miguel after reading all the reviews and ads. It's beautiful, but no more beautiful than other towns. In my opinion, the city of Guanajuato has much more to offer and it makes a much greater impression in terms of architecture, history, and cuisine.
