Hyderabad was a great experience overall, even at most crowded places like Charminar Market I was told that I can get pick-pocketed, thankfully that didn't happen. But it was so refreshing to visit as it was safe in regards of sexual harassment related acts. In fact most people did not stare at me which was surprising and refreshing. One should definitely try South Indian cuisine and pastries and other bakery products in Hyderabad, they are truly amazing and fresh! Never tasted bakery products...

Pretty safe except for the old city. Avoid going out at night. Hi-tech city is super safe. So are Gachibowli, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Kondapur, and financial district. Clothing in old city needs to be conservative for the most part
Posted: February 16, 2026It is generally very safe :). The city is happening. Major places should not have any issues for you. Public transport is connected via metro & buses; ample taxis & autos available. Police is active & efficient usually.

It’s safe during the day in the developed areas of the city, mostly the city centre but I would be cautious if I were going anywhere at night. Uber is the most reliable option if I was going alone. Sharing the location with your family/friends is a must

When I am not working you can find me petting cats and dogs or dreaming about my next adventure. I enjoy trying new cuisine and learning about different cultures. I am here to explore the world of solo travelling. I would like to travel internationally more, while Tango-ing wherever I can and connect with like minded people.

Living for the thrill of finding something new about myself in every place I explore! There’s just something about getting lost in the beat and rhythm of a place. It’s one of the few things that genuinely excites me and breathes new life into me. I haven’t been able to travel nearly as much I wish to due to poor health for 5 years after covid but I hope that can change now. :) hoping to meet some amazing people along the way and the lovely women who are opening up their homes to host!
