Hyderabad was a great experience overall, even at most crowded places like Charminar Market I was told that I can get pick-pocketed, thankfully that didn't happen. But it was so refreshing to visit as it was safe in regards of sexual harassment related acts. In fact most people did not stare at me which was surprising and refreshing. One should definitely try South Indian cuisine and pastries and other bakery products in Hyderabad, they are truly amazing and fresh! Never tasted bakery products better and fresher than that!

Hyderabad is generally a safer city compared to the other metros in India but as a whole, the country isn’t the safest for women anywhere. I’d say when visiting, definitely be in trusted company and preferably not be out and about on your own unless it’s the developed and tech oriented parts of town.
Posted: October 1, 2025I never had any instance where I felt unsafe in hyderabad. This is my personal experience after living here for over 6 years. But I have heard few instances about rapido and mugging in remote areas from my friends and team
Posted: September 13, 2025Hyderabad I would say is one of the safer cities in India. I used to live in Delhi, and compared to that I feel much safer walking about at night. However, there is an issue of people, especially men, staring at women, so just something to mindful of.
Posted: September 12, 2025Hyderabad (the newer part of the city) is very safe even at night. But the old city where all the tourist attractions are aren’t that safe at night. I would recommend living in the new IT-park areas and then travelling to the tourist places
Posted: August 19, 2025Hyderabad is the safest city in India . I never worried about living and going alone outside but there are few places which we shouldn’t go alone.. I think so everywhere it’s common .. I feel so safe and there are no worries about anything.
