based on 5 experiences from female travelers
Its safe but not that much if you trust any stranger. Be smart while travelling and save all the helpline numbers. The best place for exploring food options. Lots of heritage and cultural attractions. Easy to commute. Easily find a good company anywhere. Great connectivity from other nstional and international destinations.
Posted: June 23, 2024There are lots of delicious foods and numerous places to hang out. However, if you're a woman traveling alone, I wouldn't recommend it. It isn't safe... It would be better to go with a group or with someone close to you. Agra is one of the best places.
Posted: March 23, 2024Experienced: March, 2024Delhi is the capital city of India. Many people here speak Hindi which is the national language of Indians. Parliament is located here. A good place for tourists too as there are many tourist spots. New Delhi is a good place to visit. The people are very friendly and people were visiting this place most because here there are so many tourist places like Red Fort, loutos temple, Indian Gate ect are present. I recommend that you visit new Delhi once. Thank you.!
Posted: January 21, 2024Experienced: June, 2023I visited Delhi alone and decided to stay in the Connaught Place, recommended by my Indian colleagues. It turned out that the neighborhood was safe and comfortable during my stay. During the day, I explored the city on my own and visited many tourist attractions. In addition, I went on a one-day trip to Agra to admire the beauty of Taj Mahal.

Pichpocketing, cat calling, unwanted brushes in crowd is unavoidable. Do not trust strangers, even women. Explore in well lit and well populated areas. Don't book an accommodation in OldDelhi. You will find one auto driver or shopkeeper who is genuinely sincere. Always listen to your instinct, if it tells you to run, don't overthink
Posted: May 5, 2026New delhi particularly south delhi is safe if you're going for a walk at 11 at night only dogs bark and it's safe. Delhi specially south delhi.
Posted: April 28, 2026its not the safest. some parts of delhi are safe but not so different. south delhi is much safer than other parts but harassing especially white or foreigner women is common at night. would recommend you to travel with other people in groups <3
Posted: March 28, 2026Not really, you got to stay conscious and by your own every step into the city! There are many events that occur throughout the day, the unthinkable. People are getting lost in the city. Devices not secure. There are many tricksters. That'll rob you being sweet as a cake. Stay aware, cautious and secure!

Delhi based ✨ Commerce student at University of Delhi currently working as well, so weekends are usually my free time to hangout, explore cafés, markets, cute spots or just roam around the city. Into fashion, spontaneous plans, sunset walks and collecting memories over souvenirs ✈️🤍 Happy to help you explore locally and make your trip feel less touristy & more fun. If any activity or place is paid, I’d really appreciate splitting or covering the cost accordingly ✨ Big girls’ girl energy — always open to meeting kind and adventurous women from around the world.
