Is New Delhi safe for solo female travelers?

New Delhi, as a major city in India, can have some safety issues, especially for solo female travelers. Instances of harassment and mugging have been reported. It is advisable to avoid walking alone at night, dress modestly, and be vigilant in crowded areas. Local transport often gets overcrowded, so private or women-only options are recommended. However, don't be discouraged, because safety can largely depend on one's behavior and precautions. Many female tourists have visited New Delhi and had great experiences, but it's important to stay cautious and aware of your surroundings.

Solo travel

Its safe but not that much if you trust any stranger. Be smart while travelling and save all the helpline numbers. The best place for exploring food options. Lots of heritage and cultural attractions. Easy to commute. Easily find a good company anywhere. Great connectivity from other nstional and international destinations.

Solo travel

There are lots of delicious foods and numerous places to hang out. However, if you're a woman traveling alone, I wouldn't recommend it. It isn't safe... It would be better to go with a group or with someone close to you. Agra is one of the best places.

Delhi is the capital city of India. Many people here speak Hindi which is the national language of Indians. Parliament is located here. A good place for tourists too as there are many tourist spots. New Delhi is a good place to visit. The people are very friendly and people were visiting this place most because here there are so many tourist places like Red Fort, loutos temple, Indian Gate ect are present. I recommend that you visit new Delhi once. Thank you.!

Try to avoid Jama Masjid lanes at night Palika bazaar too as a woman it’s unsafe because of mentality of men over there they harass woman plus that areas are chaotic and crowded. Heavy foot traffic Rickshaws, bikes, vendors squeezing through. Crowds can create opportunities for unwanted touching. Foreign women or visibly different clothing can attract attention. It’s more about discomfort than constant danger.

It is similar to other cities of North India that I've seen and some of south India as well. But there's a long way to go. It's a trip that can be overwhelming and shocking and surprising and beautiful and detailing all at the same time.

The most unsafe thing in delhi ncr is the people on road , they stare you like hell. Soo just make sure to have an evidence for that coz no one is going to protect you but you yourself and law and order.

I’m new here! Haha! I love the initiative behind this app. I’m here to get to know new people and hopefully see the world (at some point). I’ve only travelled to Germany once and I wish to travel more. 👉👈 I love to sketch, play piano, sing and eat greasy Italian food. I love doing my own nail art 🌼 and would love to do it on you as well! Hehe that’s enough about me for now. See ya!
