Its safe but not that much if you trust any stranger. Be smart while travelling and save all the helpline numbers. The best place for exploring food options. Lots of heritage and cultural attractions. Easy to commute. Easily find a good company anywhere. Great connectivity from other nstional and international destinations.
Posted: June 23, 2024There are lots of delicious foods and numerous places to hang out. However, if you're a woman traveling alone, I wouldn't recommend it. It isn't safe... It would be better to go with a group or with someone close to you. Agra is one of the best places.
Posted: March 23, 2024Experienced: March, 2024Delhi is the capital city of India. Many people here speak Hindi which is the national language of Indians. Parliament is located here. A good place for tourists too as there are many tourist spots. New Delhi is a good place to visit. The people are very friendly and people were visiting this place most because here there are so many tourist places like Red Fort, loutos temple, Indian Gate ect are present. I recommend that you visit new Delhi once. Thank you.!
Posted: January 21, 2024Experienced: June, 2023I visited Delhi alone and decided to stay in the Connaught Place, recommended by my Indian colleagues. It turned out that the neighborhood was safe and comfortable during my stay. During the day, I explored the city on my own and visited many tourist attractions. In addition, I went on a one-day trip to Agra to admire the beauty of Taj Mahal.
Posted: February 24, 2023Delhi has many places to see - the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, and Lotus Temple, to name just a few. The quickest way to move from place to place is by metro, taxis take forever unless you are going somewhere nearby. It's good to stay anywhere in central Delhi. I don't recommend hotels under 4 stars. I know the cost might be a bit higher, but it guarantees clean, mosquito-free, and noise-free accommodation.

Not safe for a woman to travel alone, I would suggest you to travel in groups or with men. Mostly travel while the sun is out, refrain from travelling at night, stay in vetted hotels, use public transport with caution (use the ladies compartment in metro).
Posted: April 20, 2025Delhi feels safe at most times, metro is the safest mode of transport, however it's best to avoid night time travel alone in secluded places. When taking a transport at night, it's best to inform someone before hand or share your location eg. On whatsapp with someone trusted.
