Shabnam
Fairly safe. Safer than north India. The people are very welcoming. I come from Kerala originally. Staying here for my studies. The 20-30 age men might stare and might ask you in rare situations to drop you off of their bikes. But just ignore and walk. If you avoid lonely places it's safe. Just for travelling it's very safe. The tourist places and shops, restaurants are safe. I would not prefer to go on a night walk alone.

Hyderabad is a safe but depends on time and location. There some places which are not safe for women's mostly during night time, but people in hyderabad always welcome travelers will a charming smile. No matter which ever place we visit safety is must, we can never say what kind of person we may encounter.

It’s a vibrant city that prioritises women’s safety. Police are easily accessible and cooperative in case of emergency, which is very rarely needed. Women can move around without worry. You might find men watching you, staring at you, but it most often stops at that.
Posted: January 19, 2025Hyderabad is safe overall. I have been here my whole life and travel alone every day for work. Never faced any issues. Every place is crowded which makes it safe and the city never sleeps so you don’t have to walk alone.
Posted: January 18, 2025Hyderabad is one the safest cities in India, but that doesn’t say a lot compared to rise in sa stats all over the world. There’s definitely some precautions to be taken but the police, especially the cyber and women’s social is quite proactive, especially for foreign women. Overall, people in Hyderabad are quite hospitable.

From an outsider POV, I will not call Hyderabad a very safe place without proper knowledge. Few tips for safely navigating through Hyderabad. 1. Don’t walk alone at night in deserted alleys. City is awake almost all night. Stick to main roads. 2. Expect cat callings. Ignorance is bliss. 3. Book cabs using apps like Uber or Ola and watch the travel on app (I do it in every country I visit) 4. Avoid auto rickshaws at night. Overall, Avoid swaying away from main roads at night.

It’s pretty safe. Depends on the area and time too though. Using public transport is safe. walking around at night near the clubs and rich neighbourhoods is safe, but walking at night with no one around is not recommended
Posted: March 7, 2024Hyderabad was a great experience overall, even at most crowded places like Charminar Market I was told that I can get pick-pocketed, thankfully that didn't happen. But it was so refreshing to visit as it was safe in regards of sexual harassment related acts. In fact most people did not stare at me which was surprising and refreshing. One should definitely try South Indian cuisine and pastries and other bakery products in Hyderabad, they are truly amazing and fresh! Never tasted bakery products better and fresher than that!

Doctor, Traveller Since a cosmic event planner put me on this planet, I figure I better check out the whole place before my time's up! 🤷🏻♀️ I want to globe-trot through nature, dabble in adventure activities, snap pictures, eat my way through different cuisines (spoiler alert: my calorie counter is on strike)!
