About me

Hi! My name is Sara, but you can also call me Charlie. I'm a passionate traveler currently in Argentina to visit my family after 15 yrs. I'm pretty chill and open to learning almost everything someone has to teach me, especially plant based recipes and languages (I am primarily plant based). I love food, I love different cultures, and seeing things I've never seen before.

About me

Hi! I’m Carlotta and I live in Rome but I’m from Abruzzo (the land of bears, wolves, mountains, beaches and small beautiful towns). Even though I’ve never been a fan of fast traveling and consuming cultures as much as I can with no critical thinking behind, this year I’ve decided to start experimenting a new and thoughtful approach for my stays around the world.

About me

Just moved to Rome from Florida. Traveling Europe for a bitty. Looking forward to making new connections ☺️ I graduated with a software engineering degree last year after spending yearssss working three jobs while going to school full time, so I am just out here seizing all opportunities to passionately enjoy being alive. Things I like to do when traveling: Eat good food, have a nice cocktail at a rooftop bar or get a bird's eye view, hike a trail or simply wander city streets, enjoy a botanical garden, go to a museum, danceeeeee, check out a live music event, and meet new people!

Is Rome worth visiting?

4.2 /5

Based on 91 experiences

Group travel

Is it safe? Yes, but watch out for pickpockets in crowded areas, scams (like “free” bracelets), and be cautious at night, especially around Termini Station. Things to do •Colosseum & Roman Forum – Ancient history must-see. •Vatican City – St. Peter’s, Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museums. •Trevi Fountain – Toss a coin for good luck. •Pantheon – Iconic Roman temple. •Piazza Navona – Lively square with fountains. •Trastevere – Charming streets & nightlife. •Villa Borghese – Beautiful park & gallery.

Solo travel

I felt surprisingly safe! I carried a backpack in metro and in all touristic areas and didn't encounter any problem. The food in Italy is less than ideal, in my humble opinion 😄 i have eaten better ice cream and pasta in my own country than in Italy. If you are a picky eater like me, i suggest keeping to Supermarket food. I stayed in the Mosaic Hostel, which is 10 minutes away from metro Termini. Be aware, Rome has high city tax 🥲 i payed 15 euro (for 3 nights).
