Solo travel
I felt very safe in Milano. It's super crowded and if you're claustrophobic you should probably go to Milano on quieter days, but otherwise Milano is super safe. There are police and security everywhere, you can stay out late at night as a solo female traveler and nothing will happen. Of course there are always some idiots who cause a bit of trouble, but you can find them in every city. So yes, I felt really safe in Milano. And if you're there, don't book everything in advance, sometimes it's cheaper on the spot than online

we were 5 girls staying in the outskirts of milan. we did not feel safe at all. we always got catcalled anywhere we went, even on public transportation. we were even followed home one time. i wouldn’t recommend going alone. please be safe
