About me

Hi, my name is Irene. I'm from Naples(where the pizza margherita was created), Italy. I study language(chinese, japanese and english)at Orientale University in Naples. I'm attending the second year and for me it s always fun to learn new language. I also enjoy cooking and go to visit museum with my friends. I have a cat and she is so cute but a bit violent, but u forgive her because she is so fluffy. I love to travel but my friend are a bit lazy so I m searching for some new friend who are up to travel with me. My instagram is @irenecl___

Is Naples safe for female travelers?

Group travel

Let me lead with this may be unpopular opinion: may be one of my least favorite places I've visited. Hear me out! Pros: BEAUTIFUL. Truly breathtaking in the area. Great food. I think everything we ate was superb. Pretty affordable. There are some tourist trap-y spaces but overall we found it very affordable. Cons: Probably some of the rudest people I'VE met. (I promise I'm an annoying American trying to own every space!) Kind of unsafe in terms of female travel/general safety. (My best friend was shielded from a fight when I ran to the bathroom at a bar & we felt the need to stay alert around the men in the area). It's hard to explain but we just felt more guarded. Not entirely a negative but be prepared to climb lol it contributes to the beautiful views but damn were we winded 😂 I've visited other places in Italy but with my husband (Naples was with my best friend) & didn't feel the same rudeness and general unwelcome atmosphere but boy is it beautiful! I'd give it another chance though!
