Like most cities, you should keep your wits about you but the touristy parts of Savannah are very safe. Ubers are easy to find and the free trolley does not go into the more dangerous parts of the city.

I felt safe during the day in the main river walk area. After nightfall I likely wouldn’t walk alone away from that area and chose an Uber to get back to where I was saying. Overall beautiful place with rich history but would be vigilant away from the populated areas.
