Depends on where you are… in my neighborhood I feel very safe & walk my dog at night after as I live across from a huge park. Don’t really go inside the playground area much as a lot of homeless live there. If you mind your buddies they don’t bother you. Towards the strip, I wouldn’t feel comfortable roaming alone at night as a woman outside the casinos at least. Inside the casinos there is a lot of security so it feels a lot safer depending which casino you’re in. Fremont is very seedy no matter where you are I wouldn’t go alone unless you’re with a local.
Posted: January 10, 2025Vegas is generally safe in most areas that people frequent. There are certain areas I would highly advise travelers avoid. The north east areas and historic west side are not the best for travelers. Going out at night in groups and in populated areas is typically as safe as any other city. Always best to not be out alone at night or to stay in areas that are well populated and lively vs the quieter areas of town.
Posted: December 31, 2024Vegas is safe near the strip just don’t go far from there at night as there is a lot of druggies and gangs ect but everywhere else is busy so lots of friendly people around. So much to do so it’s worth visiting just also watch your drinks in clubs

Las Vegas is like most American cities - it has some really dangerous pockets, but if you keep your wits about you, you'll likely be ok. I lived there for 8 years and didn't run into any issues. That said, if you're visiting on the strip, you're more likely to be a victim of a petty crime.

I went to the Bellagio and although it was beautiful there was a strange man who approached me and I didn't really feel safe. Fremont St is expensive but had an open festival vibe. There were intoxicated ppl at McDonald's and wanted to fight me. I wouldn't go alone. I'm used to traveling alone but not any more

Almost all the restraunts where good, the hotels were great. I stayed at two. 1. Pink Flamingo, which was OK. 2. Harrahs which I seem to like it a little better. Everything is more expensive then the downtown strip. I actually got a room with living area, bedroom, and 2 bathrooms, then a bar in the living. Area. The rooms was cheaper then downtown strip, however of course they always charged 50 dollars per day for resort fee. And 40 dollars a day with vallet parking. I did not feel very safe. A man tried to grab me on the strip. Same man that tried to grab two other women the night before. In front of a lot of people. But people just ignore it and walk on. When reporting it to pink flamingo. They said sorry the strip is not our property. However when I was talking to staff the day before. It's a good area and we try our best to keep people not only inside but also outside. But when it comes down to it. I saw Carrie Underwood. I really loved her.
