Rapid City is safe but has its areas, there’s like a certain line that you shouldn’t walk by yourself in that area so from like Omaha street and to the north from there don’t walk alone just lots of homeless population that gets kind of wild.
Posted: December 28, 2024I have been here before and the experiences have always been good. However, it is quite easy to get in the wrong area with the wrong people. I wouldn’t recommend this area for a solo traveler for an extended period of time. However, the attractions in the area are quite fun (Bear Country, Mt. Rushmore, Wall Drug, etc).
