It's a city where you will easily find yourself alone in a street at night as it's not very busy. It's usually quite safe but at night in the dog, it can be stressful. Other than that, transportations are safe, public space are safe too. And during the day, you have nothing to worry about.

As in mostly everywhere in Switzerland, it is very safe compared to other countries. Of course there are a few places and times where I don’t feel as safe as a woman on her own, like at night around the train station when some drunk people hang out there, but I always take public transport and walk home without any issue.

Hi, I’m Sophie. I’ve always loved travelling and recently discovered the joy of solo travelling. A few years ago, I lived in Auckland, New Zealand for a year and then travelled around the world for 14 months. Since April 2024, I’m travelling around Europe in my camper van while working remotely until at least the end of 2025. My plan is to visit Ireland, Norway, Italy, Scotland, Wales, Iceland, Spain and Portugal.
