Interlaken is a very safe city, also for female solo travelers! :) also public transport is very convenient and safe! 
Of course never leave your valuables unattended but other than that no worries :)

It is quite save. You can easily walk around with a (female) friend everywhere at any time. The people here are very polite and if you would left something behind they make sure it comes back to you. As a queer person I feel okey walking down the streets
