It’s pretty safe just some places like riponne and lausanne Flon have some people who take drugs but it’s not that bad (I volunteer at the soup populaire and those people can sometimes distressed but pretty nice most of the time) overall Switzerland is pretty safe compared to a lot of places

Lausanne is a nice place to stay at. Some neighborhoods are a bit less safe than others but Switzerland is pretty much safe compared to other countries so not much to worry about ! Also, walking at night depends the area but I’ve never experienced any problems since I’ve been there.

Well, I've spent half of a year in Lausanne only. The city is calm. There are beggars in the street only. I've heard from my friends to be careful in public places with your private stuff, because a laptop was stolen from one of them. That's the only thing I knew. I'm not out too late alone & anyway just stay careful wherever I'm because I'm that kind of person.
Posted: April 10, 2025Lausanne is quite safe. You can walk down the street as a woman very safely. People are caring after others so I will never feel alone. You just have to avoid some places but it’s still fine (in front of the train station during the night, or the park)

Lausanne is a super safe place, Switzerland is but Lausanne in particular. It’s a place for young people and there is a lot of police presence in town so everyone can walk around safely! I’ve lived there for my hole life and I never had even a single incident or a guy come to me in the street.
Posted: February 19, 2025Very chill and safe city in Switzerland. During the day there’s no safety precautions to take. Just two places I don’t recommend as a solo female in the dark : Chaudron and place de la Riponne because of drugs users (not dangerous but unpredictable)

It’s a pretty safe city! Comparing to other countries, Switzerland is very safe in general. But we still experience sexual harassment and a little bit of robbery in Lausanne. There are some drug dealers and homeless people in particular spots in Lausanne, it can be disturbing, but they’re harmless, they can just ask you for money sometimes.
Posted: December 25, 2024Lausanne is a safe city for women. Of course it can’t be 100% safe because dangerous men can be everywhere but I lived here most of my life and the worst I experienced is catcalling. I would recommend going here if you are scared about travelling along as a woman

Lausanne is very safe ! Most of the neighborhoods are really calm and safe for women. I never felt scared even coming home drunk at 3am haha. I would recommend to come here without being scared but i would just not go to La Riponne alone at night because its a bit scary and there are many weird people.

It’s not what it was used to be decades ago when I first moved to Lausanne 35 years ago, but I’m still feeling ok to walk back home. Switzerland is still safer than most other countries even so it changed over time.
Posted: October 24, 2024Lausanne is a clean and safe but unnecessarily expensive city. There are a couple museums that are free (or cheap) for people under 25 so it makes up for the cost of living ! I would recommend the Rumine Palace.

Hello there !^^ My name is Anh Van (u can call me Anna :)), 2-3 years ago I left everything (flat, job, friends etc), filled up a backpack and went out there to explore our wonderful earth~ I’m a free, creative and cheerful spirit who’s a bit all over the place(figuratively and literally haha) and overall truly spontaneous(a kinder way to say that I have absolutely zero organization skill haha) Oh and above all, I’m all about enjoying simple things like Music, Art and Nature!(I love smelling flowers, eating tomatoes and petting animals😋) Admiring a sunset, enjoying some good time with friends and marvel at the beauty of a starry night are the things I live for! The world has so much to offer so I just want to let myself be carried where the wind(and my wallet can)take me, living day by day.✨ And of course I’m open to meet anyone regardless of your age, ethnicity or whatever you identify as etc, cause friendship knows no boundaries right?^^ so feel free to contact me whenever ;) (Insta; @anhstel) Peace and love<3

Hi, I'm 25 and I live in Switzerland. I grew up in the Italian part and my family is from Sri Lanka. I love to try new things and meet new people but I'm also quite introverted 😅
