I feel safe in Zurich and I think it's easy to get around especially with the public transport and they are connected to a lot of places (even a bit more rural destination. Even tho the people might seem a bit distant but I don't think it's a huge problem, but then again I might have a better point of view since I 1. speak the language and 2. know my way around Zurich. But generally speaking it's super safe and beautiful!
Posted: March 13, 2025I've never experienced any crimes myself, but I did hear a story from a friend who was sexually harassed, though nothing came of it in the end. Overall, I feel very safe in Zurich, but I’d be more cautious if you’re walking around alone at night in some of the less crowded areas.
Posted: March 2, 2025Very! It’s one of the most expensive and therefore rich cities in the world. There is really no need for crime here, no homeless people, and even if you “put yourself” and dangerous situations as I have myself numerous times, nothing ever happened and everyone is very helpful and caring.

zurich is probably one of the safest places worldwide. people trust each other to not steal anything and my family sometimes doesn’t even close the doors because the risk of anything happening is very low. of course there are creeps like everywhere but more or less really safe.
