Is Denia safe for women?

Normaly no safety problems for traveler in the whole town. Day and nighttime your safe. Of course you should be carefull on the crowded Monday Market and in Shopping Locations. Don't show your Money or jewels.

Is Denia worth visiting?

Family travel

We did a 2 week vacation in the Montgo area of Denia party of three adults. We‘re part spanish part german origin and have traveled and lived both in spain and a lot of other countries. We chose Denia because we didn‘t know it yet and were recommended the nice beaches here. Which we enjoyed quite a bit, especially this time of the year- still warm but not too crowded anymore. Now the not so nice details; i was astonished with the accomodation prices before hand already.. resuming I‘d say there‘s really nicer places/beaches etc in europe to visit for that kind of value for money… I don‘t even want to imagine the place in aug/sept. Driving (we went with own car) is still exhausting, with all the crossing street walkers, traffic lights & road obsticals (to make traffic go slow). To still find typical options to have the typical cafe, food or icecream you really need to have local advice or search google for felt ages (annoying!) most of the options are quite touristy far from what we know normal spain for. All in all i personally will rather avoid the visited sites (Denia, Calpe, Benidorm, Gandia) in the future and turn to less crowded areas of Spain
