Is Spain safe for solo female travelers?

Spain is generally a safe country for solo female travelers. Both urban areas and rural regions have low levels of crime. It is always prudent to take basic precautions, such as avoiding poorly lit and deserted areas late at night, keeping a close eye on personal belongings in crowded places, and not sharing your personal details or itineraries with strangers. Public transportation and taxis are usually safe and reliable. However, like anywhere else, incidents can occur, so staying alert and using common sense is important.

Benidorm, Couple travel

I spent the last week of November with my partner in a very nice hotel in Benidorm. We had a great time, we went to the motor museum, the Valor chocolate museum and there were two very good arcade places.

Valencia, Couple travel

Valencia is a really beautiful city with a big parc. If you like to run it's perfect for you. But even if not it's just beautiful here. The people are all nice and welcoming and up to include you in their activities. You can walk everywhere and you can book cheap but really good hostels in the center.

Tenerife, Group travel

I had an amazing time in tenerife I went with a few girls and it was amazing, we went onto the strip veronicas, which you have to be very careful on if you know what I mean, do you own research but if you are alert and not silly you will be fine

Barcelona, Solo travel

Was pretty good, first ever time travelling without family. Went to see my bf but was spending the days alone since he had school. Was an overall nice experience, didn't encounter any pick pocketers or any mishaps. Stuck to just exploring without a plan, so I didn't see the attractions Barcelonas known for but cuz of that i did see many little beauties of the city. One underrated beautiful location u have to visit is Monastery of Pedralbes, €5.20 for a beautifully quiet place away from the buzz of the city, spent almost 3 hours there soaking up the peace. Hope u enjoy ur travel to Barcelona!

Chulilla

Chulilla is a wonderful place to visit with vans. A lot of climbers and nice people around the village. There are several spots for parking, and it's really very safe place, luckily. Also for party. If you lose something it's easy to find just asking.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The main problem we have here is with drugs, young people will often consume in a way or another but still have perfectly normal lives. I guess that happens in all cities. It is also worth mentioning the increase of immigration we are receiving and general discomfort from some of the locals since we have also been simultaneously experiencing an increase in the violent crimes in the island which has led to some racism as well. In general it is incredibly safe for tourists so y'all have nothing to worry about.

Vigo

it’s actually a pretty safe city, but like almost everywhere there’s always “that”person. i would recommend not to go to teis or coia at night, but even if you do so nothing will happen. moreover, there’s always people willing to help :)

Valencia

I never have the feeling of being unsafe or on the constant look out! I am always very aware of my surroundings, you always have to be. But I never had the feeling I had to look out more than usual or be more aware of my phone, bag etc.
