Be aware of your phone and purse, pickpockets are very resourceful Chances that you could be in physical danger are close to none. Take the main streets and you’ll be just fine. The city is lovely 🥰 If you don’t want to go around alone just txt me

It usually And normally nothing happens, but there is usually a greater chance of being robbed or scammed when you look like are a tourist alone, safer in group
Posted: July 29, 2025Barcelona, per se, is a big city and there are obviously plenty of people living there. Nowadays, sadly, most of the people you’ll encounter walking or shopping in the streets are visitors or foreigners, not locals. I can only speak from what I know from my people and local behavior. I feel safe in my city but I’m sure that every woman feels not so secure depending on the day, and, as i was saying, the city is currently full of visitors and travellers who don’t respect the place and the social norms at all.

It is a pretty safe city but all depends on the neighbourhood. I wouldn't walk by 5 at night after drinks in certain areas. Still it is good the metro works 24h on Saturdays and it is full of people and even families which feels pretty safe

Barcelona is safe overwall, police is very responsive and watching the street often. You can get robbed and walking at night on la rambla can be sketchy, but otherwise it’s ok. Just beware of pickpocket because they are very smooth.

I’ve been here for over 8 months and so far have felt very safe! The pit pocketing thing is more important to be aware of when you’re in busy tourist areas. Keep an eye on your things and you’ll be fine.

Cartagena is a city where you can feel very sure. It’a small city but you can do all activities as you want to do it, such as running, bicicling, climbing mountains. In addition, you can go to different beach like La Manga.
Posted: July 30, 2025Experienced: July, 2025We only stayed one night, but it was absolutely beautiful! We arrived in the afternoon and had a lovely dinner at a local place before checking in to our hotel. We then went back out to wander- it was dark out but we felt very safe, as the streets were nicely crowded and the people were very kind (locals and tourists alike.) Lots of good shopping and cafes/dessert places.
