It’s usually safe, but not at the summer season. A lot of tourists and strangers coming, so should be prepared. I’ll move to Malaga soon, but there is also not that much safety this year because of tourism. But Spanish people trying to solve it

Marbella is a beautiful and luxurious place, but beneath the shiny surface, there’s a less glamorous side. Overall, I don’t feel unsafe walking alone here, and I’m not particularly worried about sexual assaults or similar incidents. However, there is definitely a presence of crime, mainly in the form of theft and organized criminal activity. Car thefts and home break-ins happen quite often, especially targeting luxury villas. Many homeowners invest in security systems and surveillance because of this. On top of that, Marbella attracts a lot of people from the underworld – numerous international criminal groups operate here, and the city is a hideout for many wanted individuals. Occasionally, there are shootings or other mafia-related conflicts, but they mostly involve people from that world and don’t affect the daily lives of regular residents. To sum it up – for an average person who isn’t looking for trouble, Marbella is safe. But if someone thinks it’s all just sunshine and luxury with no dark sides, they’d be mistaken.
Posted: March 5, 2025Marbella is relatively safe for women as long as you stay away from sketchy nightclubs . Be careful in some clubs with your drinks. Pimps and creepy men are known to drug girls here. For the rest, i feel safe living here and walking around on the streets. Criminal activity is all between the criminals here, they almost never attack tourists or citizens.

My experience in Marbella was one of the best so far. The beach, the streets, the views and everything about Marbella was great. I booked an aparment on airbnb and it was so cheap and only 15 minutes far from the Old Town. I loved how safe and peaceful the city streets were. Puerto Banus is one of my favorite in Marbella but Old Town remains on top of it.

I felt very safe, but I was also always with my parents or my older sister. However, I never felt threatened by any man. I would definitely recommend Museo De Picasso in Malaga!! Absolutely beautiful. Regarding transportation I would say driving seemed the easiest mode.
