Safety in Valencia depends on the zone you are in. Pickpockets are very usual in crowded places, but in matters of sexual aggressions, it’s not that common. Specially if you’re in a good neighborhood, it’s relatively safe to walk by yourself at night.
Posted: January 16, 2025Maybe you should be careful about being robbed at the touristic places, but overall is mostly safe for women to travel alone here. Been living here two years as a spanish white girl (for reference) and never have a single thought about being in real danger.

In general the city is very safe, since three years nothing weird happened to me. I’d be more aware of walking alone by night through the park, but I already did it couple of times and nothing weird happened.

I feel very safe. Of course, bad things can always happen, but this is not a dangerous place. Just make sure to keep things close in tourist areas and avoid walking alone while too drunk at night.
Posted: December 25, 2024Valencia is safer than the previous cities i’ve lived into, never been annoyed by anyone in the streets by night in 3 years. I’ve always felt comfortable walking alone at any moments of the day. People are very welcoming and would 100% help you in any situations.

Valencia is safe, as are most cities in Europe. You can walk alone at night without being really worried. It's safe, but don't go walking around areas in the suburbs like barrio del Carmen at 3am as you're gonna have problems. Just use common sense

Valencia it’s a very safe, touristic city. There’s always street movement so that makes me feel safe. Also Gandia, my neighborhood, it’s a very chill, residential coast place. I’ve walked alone at night in both places and slept in the airport and everything’s just fine.

It is very safe place overall, way more safer than Barcelona or Madrid or even Sevilla where I was living before. Anyway even if something happens people around always react super fast, you can count on them to help you :)
Posted: September 19, 2024You can go out alone, use the public transport with no problem. Many places have a anti arrasment protocol, a safe area and they can help you. In the festivals and events you can find a purple point, a safe point if somebody is bothering you

It's one of the best place for living in Europe. It's very safety, even at night. Sometimes I walk at night at Cabecera park close to Turia and I see some people (mostly couples) there. Any accident happened with me during 1,5 years since I'm here.

I stayed at Cantagua Hostel and it was awesome! The staff is great and they offer great advise and group activities. Lots of cool day trips, best was the visit of Albufera and Albufera Natural Park and the beaches of course :) All in all very beautiful city, perfect for a short trip of 2-4 days.
Posted: January 20, 2025Valencia felt very safe, even at night in tourist areas. Must-visit: City of Arts and Sciences, Turia Gardens, Central Market, Malvarrosa Beach. Food: Try paella at Casa Carmela, horchata at Horchatería Santa Catalina, and tapas at Mercado de Colón. Budget: €50-70/day covered meals, transport, and attractions. I stayed in a boutique hostel in Ciutat Vella—clean, quiet, and well-located. Transport: Easy to navigate with walking, buses, metro and bike.

I am traveling at the moment, I am not in Valencia. I want to know people around the world and exchange help or language for place.
