How safe is Seville?

I would describe Seville as a very safe city. Even though you have to walk a lot and also do so in the night, after going for the club for example, I always feel quite safe. So far nothing happened to me :)

About most touristic areas, nothing to worry about at all. Just take care of your belongings, in Plaza de España main square. I recommend u have a walk around the centre and Las Setas. Transport is very safe and often. I have grown up there

Generally safe, the biggest problem I've had is my bike stolen 3-4 times. I wouldn't wander around certain areas at late hours of the night for too long, definitely be careful if walking home by yourself while intoxicated.

A beautiful and peaceful city, but like anywhere else, you need to take precautions, especially if you're alone and it's nighttime, just for safety. It has a lot of history and many places to visit. You can have a coffee on one of its terraces or watch the sunset on the Guadalquivir River.

It depends on the area of course, but I have never been catcalled or harassed in the street. I enjoy going on nightly walks alone and have never felt unsafe. I live in a residential area in the city but even walking into the center at night there is always a lot of people around and I have never felt unsafe.

Sevilla is a very safe city. Just stay away from the ghettos, and everything is going to be okay. Plus, it is very difficult for tourists to get there. Moreover, Sevilla is a very crowded city at night, so if anything happens to you, you just need to shout.

Solo travel

I went to Seville for the ACDC concert, so I was only there for a couple of days. It was very easy to get from the airport to the center of the city, a bit harder to find your way on the streets. Pretty hard actually. But it was okay, it's such a beautiful city so I've had to see much wandering around. I felt very safe. It was only at one point I was holding my bag extra hard, late at night in a small alley and I saw like 2-3 guys walking in the opposite direction as me, but I don't think they even looked at me. The concert was a big one, many people. It felt very safe to be there. And after there was a party outside the arena with lots of people. I met a few and all of them was just so nice and fun to party with. I would go back! I'm just sorry I didn't see more places in the city.

I generally felt safe. Many people and myriad of tourists. I highly recommend buying tickets to museums and popular objects a few weeks in advance, since they sell out quickly. Must-see places are: Plaza de España; the Cathedral of Seville (beautiful view from the tower, which doesn’t have stairs, but rather ramps and thus is easier to climb into even for elders or disabled persons); Real Alcázar (has a standing queue from early in the morning in order to buy tickets if you missed them online, but arrive very early, like 7:00).
