Alicante is a safe city. you have nothing to be worried about the safety. I have been living my whole life in this city and I have never had a problem, you just need to take logical precautions like in any other city

Hello, i am from Alicante and I have always felt safe. If you’re at a party or the beach, just keep an eye on your bag, but nowadays, that’s something you need to do everywhere. In the city center and nearby areas, you won’t feel like it’s an unsafe place or surrounded by people with bad intentions. There is a very good atmosphere. :)
Posted: January 21, 2025There is the occasional catcall but nothing to be worried about. The centre is so safe. It’s always busy so if anything happens there’s always someone to ask for help. I felt very safe at night time walking home too. There are some not so safe areas but there isn’t really any need to go there if you stay in the centre it’s all just houses.

Spain is in general a safe country. You always need to be cautious as you never know, but I have walked home after a party night and never happened anything to me. Anyways, you can always take a taxi, they are safe. Same as the rest of the public transport. You can get robbed, that is more frequent. Especially at the beach it is important not to leave your personal belongings alone.
Posted: June 5, 2024I’ve lived before here for 6 months. Me and my friends used to go out every weekend until 7am. People talk to you but never disrespect you. They’re really social and open to connecting. I’ve never felt unsafe in any moment as long as you are familiar with their culture

I really like how I spent time in Alicante.I lived with my friends from Ukraine. We were walking, visiting cafes and swimming in the sea all the time. I could recommend you to visit Santa Barbara mountain to see the view from the highest point in Alicante.
