I’ve lived here for almost a year and it’s very safe. I’ve never had any problems and feel very comfortable navigating at night: on public transport and walking. Very nice and welcoming people. If you get lost, it’s completely safe to ask almost any stranger you see for help or directions.

Hi! My name is Em. I’m an American graduate student studying Global Criminology in the Netherlands. I used to live in Japan and spent a summer volunteering in Ghana. Just got back from spending a month in India visiting a friend. I love getting to know people and cultures while also going on adventures I’ll never have the chance to do again.
