About me

Hello everyone! I'm Elena from Vicenza, a small but lovely city in the northeast of Italy. I'm a curious, cheerful traveler, always ready to step out of my comfort zone. I love getting lost in nature, tasting new foods, diving into adrenaline-filled and authentic experiences, and being amazed by different cultures. When I’m not traveling, I work in project management and sales — but my heart beats for freedom, scribbled-on maps, and those random encounters that turn into unforgettable memories. I'm looking for travel buddies or a place to stay with women like me: respectful, curious, and eager to share a bit of the journey... or a crazy experience that starts with “why not?!”. 🌍✨ Now in my native language: Ciao a tutte! 🌍✨

About me

Hi! I'm Alice Maia, 🌊I've lived in Genova all my life and I love meeting new people. I will gladly chaperone you around🚶🏻‍♀️whenever I'm available, give indications and eventually host🛌🏻 if it's possible for me and my family. I really enjoy meeting new people from all around the world and chatting💬 about literally everything. Also I have cats! Putting it here because I keep forgetting people I host might be allergic😅 🎯I want to start traveling solo, but haven't done so yet. I hope this community will help me with this goal:) I'm very interested in knowing how other people experience life, I like to know what you think of my culture and my city, and I will probably ask a lot about yours too, if you agree to! Basically I love sharing stories, ideas and everything else!🗣️ I feel like travelling and making friends should be for everyone, so feel free to contact me if you have any particular concern (e.g. you have a disability, are part of a minority and are concerned about your safety etc) Among other things, here's a few of my interests! - I study Environmental Sciences🌍🌎🌏 - I'm a climate justice activist📢 - I love volunteering as a Scout Leader in one of our local groups⚜️ I've been a scout all my life since I was 8 and I love this world, so if we share this experience let's talk about it! I know it can be very different being a scout around the world:) Other things that might be interesting: - I try to live as sustainably as possible, including following a vegetarian or vegan diet🧆 - I have a chronic illness that means my energy levels can vary a lot from one day to the other, so I'll need to plan anything carefully to be sure I can make it through the day🔋 - I'm neurodivergent🧠 - I'm all about inclusion and accessibility, so feel free to tell me about any of your needs or boundaries!🫂

About me

hi :) my name is Sophia and I am 20 years old. I come from the North of Italy and come to Costa Rica for visting my cousin in Sámara. I am currently taking a gap year, but I aspire to become a docter. I really like doing a lot of different things. I enjoy doing art, drawing and writing, and cooking and reading too. I love dancing and also doing yoga. Being outdoors is where I feel most alive; since I come from the mountains, I very enjoy skiing and hiking. Additionally I am always very happy when I get the chance to go horseback riding. Additionally I do some volunteer work af home, there I am a Youthworker and Volunteer with the White Cross, a rescue organization that provides emergency services

Is Italy safe for female travelers?

Dolomites, Solo travel

Very few hostels but very clean and accessible. Amazing for women to try solo but would recommend having a car to get around for ease. After mid october a lot of places close so plan accordingly but dolomiti buses reach most places

Capri, Solo travel

I booked a room in Anacapri with a swimming pool and it was a wise choice because there are no many places to swim. Ooor you need to pay an expensive cocktail to have access to the sea, you are in Capri, « Expensive » is a part of this island and Anacapri side is better than Capri side for the price. Even if you want to eat an ice cream or a pizza. It’s a safe place but citizens can look rude at you because of the massive tourism it’s understandable and others can give you a big smile if you start talking with a « Buongiorno ! » I like their smile :] When you arrived don’t rush into any restaurants at the harbour search for the lowest prices or small stands it will be the best. Bring your gourds and some cash for the bus !
