Is Fuengirola good for solo travel?

Safety:

Safety:Very safe

Fuengirola is generally a very safe city for solo female travelers. Like any other place, it's always smart to be vigilant, especially during the late night hours. The city's overall safety measures are good, with visible police presence and well-lit main streets. However, as in any city, there are areas where caution is recommended, particularly secluded beaches or quiet streets late at night. It's always wise to stay within tourist-populated areas and be aware of your surroundings. Still, the local community is friendly and willing to assist, and the crime rate against tourists is relatively low.
Transport:

Transport:Easy

Fuengirola is a relatively compact city and it's simple to explore on foot, especially the beach and the city center. You can get around to slightly farther points using public transportation, which is efficient and reasonably priced. However, some hilly areas can present a bit of a challenge.
Things to do:

Things to do:Interesting

Fuengirola is a haven for beach lovers with its stunning Mediterranean beaches and offers more than just sun and sand. Its beautiful promenade lined with restaurants and cafes is perfect for relaxation. History enthusiasts can visit the Sohail Castle. Bioparc Fuengirola is a must-visit for wildlife lovers and it's a great place for shopping and trying authentic Spanish cuisine, as well.
Food:

Food:Above average

Fuengirola's food scene is a delightful fusion of traditional Spanish and international flavors. Expect to find tapas bars, seafood restaurants, and churros stands alongside sushi places and Indian restaurants, showcasing the town's culinary diversity. Try authentic paella, jamón ibérico, and churros with chocolate for a taste of Spain. Being a seaside town, fresh seafood is plentiful. For vegetarians or vegans, options might be slightly limited.
Budget:

Budget:Affordable

Fuengirola is relatively budget-friendly. Accommodations range from upscale hotels to more affordable options like hostels and rentals. Eating out can also be budget-friendly if you visit local eateries instead of touristy restaurants. Using public transport instead of taxis can save costs as well. However, sightseeing and activities can add up depending on what you choose to do.
