However, like any other tourist locations, keep a vigilant eye on your belongings and avoid isolated or overly crowded places during the late hours. It is fairly well lit in most tourist points, and the local police are often very helpful. As a tip, dressing modestly could ward off unwanted attention. While it's a safe city, it is always important to heed to the general travel advisory and precautions for overall safety.

While Udaipur is a beautiful city, it can be moderately complex to navigate for solo travelers, especially those unfamiliar with India. Couple travel experience

I had visited Udaipur in August 22 with my husband. The weather was quite pleasant. It was raining at times though. We had rented a bike. It's a beautiful city. You will be in complete awe after seeing its vast lakes and magnificent palaces. The people are quite friendly and helpful. I had a good experience overall.
