I've been to Mexico several times, mostly solo, and it's a dream. I've stayed mainly on the Yucatan and Riviera Maya and felt perfectly safe. There is so much culture, art, and experiences (Aztec ruins, zip lining, all the cenotes, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, beautiful old towns with fantastic churches, festivals, beaches...etc) so I will never get bored. And the food. It's also relatively cheap.
Posted: June 1, 2023I spent three weeks driving around Mexico and it was amazing, I felt safe at all times and we visited some really remote areas. I found the people to be lovely and the most helpful I’ve found of all the places I’ve traveled to. I flew to Cancun then drove to Tulum, Bacalar, Palenque, Villerhermosa, Mexico City, Ciudad del Carmen, Merida, and back to Cancun.
