Hermosillo is a place that you don’t want to be alone in the dark and you have to be careful also in Uber and more in public transport. It’s very common that men said something with sexual connotation but it’s not that common for rape.

There are zones where you can feel really save, otherwise you should be aware of your belongings such as cellphone, wallet, etc. because those things can be stolen from you in public places and you might not notice it

Fairly safe if you’re accompanied by someone all times or stay at safe zones in the city, I feel the need to tell my friends and family when I arrive save at at place, always know where I am and look for safe zones
Posted: July 20, 2025I've lived here my whole life and have never experienced anything bad happen to me. I don't live in a bad part of the city (but also not in the privileged, rich part which is safer), and I still haven't felt at risk.

Xalapa is a city full of students, it is supposed to be safe for all of us but like every Mexican city it has a certain amount of crime, you can be robbed at night but nothing too dangerous if you have company, me as a citizen had never experienced anything dangerous in my entire life here and I am a partying person so I'm used to be be out after dark, if you have company and a good plan out everything would be just fine
Posted: July 15, 2025Usually if you decide not to engage with people in sketchy circles, you should be fine, but as a tourist you are more likely to get mugged or scammed than as a local. It is very crucial that you look up the neighborhoods where anything is located and not to stray from the more quiet areas in the city. The nightlife is also relatively safe as long as you stay in clubs and don't go to people's houses or any unknown third locations.

I had amazing time with family and friends, I initially had no idea what Mexico City would be like, but as the time went on I realized on my own terms how incredible the city is. There’s is so much to do and the food is delicious.

Tulum was very pricey as it was definitely a tourist town. In order to get onto a beach you had to generally pay to get into any vicinity or buy drinks food at their vicinity to get beach access. You could go to the free beaches but they were full of people & trash. I felt fairly safe but as a woman always stayed diligent. I rode a bicycle all around. There are some cenotes worth checking out for sure!
