The best times to go to this part of Mexico is around July and December. July flourishes with rivers of water, and December activities and family get together. Their is lots of touristic places to go and visit here, especially now in 2026!

I stayed at an all inclusive resort for the 1st time for my 1st trip outside of the USA.it was the best food and sleep. I enjoyed the bottomless drinks. Clear ocean water. I would go back to the same resort for sure for the food! I stayed at Fiesta Americà Cancun

We traveled through Mexico as a couple back then, starting in Mexico City and flying to the Pacific coast ✈️. From there, we crossed the country overland through Oaxaca 🚌, Palenque 🚌, Bacalar 🚌, and finally Isla Holbox 🚌 in the Caribbean. We started at the beginning of December and traveled for a month — Mexico is absolutely beautiful, and I would go back again in a heartbeat, even on my own!

We had a lot of fun. It was a bit of a different vacation for us as we didn't have a car so we had to stick to walking distance from where we were staying....with kids that get "tired" quick lol. The beaches are gorgeous and always a good time if you have beach bums like me. Even in November, it was warm enough to enjoy outdoor activities. Safety was never a concern for us but my husband does speak Spanish fluently so that helped! Tourist center of Playa del Carmen IS expensive compared to other areas of Mexico but that's to be expected.

Better if you stay close with friends Be aware Be happy Be free Choose wisely what’s next But have fun Learn how to love one place to another first Open eyes always In the streets ve with a group of people of your trust And dance

If you are in the area of Ángelópolis, even at night it is a little safe, but always be aware of your surroundings. Walk on the streets with lots of light and people walking around. Sonata is pretty safe to walk at night

Safe area, I have traveled alone often, but avoid closed alleys, stay in busy places. It is a beautiful place full of art and culture, very fun and filled with gastronomy from different parts of the world, not just Mexican food.
Posted: January 25, 2026Overall you need to take precaution to avoid bad experiences, if using mobility apps (uber or alike) always try to peak at a public place and be sure to have double check code. Preferably share your location with your friends or local partners, and try to not look “expensive”, otherwise while visiting, you may encounter upper prices also check the surrounding areas to be sure you are in the place you wanted. There are loads of streets with the same name and you can get lost.

Totally depends on the area where you are, can be very safe in a lot of places but there are many neighborhoods that as a tourist you should never step foot on As long as you stay in popular/touristy areas you will have the most amazing time. Mexico City is the best city in the world, no doubt about it! Unfortunately Mexico's government and situation in general is not the best but that shouldn't stop you from visiting one of the most beautiful and incredible countries in the world Just please be careful, don't go out alone at night, don't walk around lonely places also be aware of...

Hello there. MÉXICO/USA is home base for me. Since I did an exchange ERASMUS trip to Croatia in university I fell in love with traveling. Short trips to neighboring countries, long trips across Europe, visiting fellow exchange students home towns and going on spontaneous adventures, a dream since childhood, became reality. Independent woman, with an ever growing bucket list of travels and adventures. I'm in the process of finding my dream home, so it's complicated to host but I'm the "always ready to go" travel buddy you've been hoping for. Current bucket list: Australia New Zealand China Korea Mongolia Ireland Peru Colombia Honduras Brazil Chile Toronto, Canada New York, USA Been there, would love to return: Croatia Slovenia Austria Hungary Chequia Sería Bosnia Netherlands Belgium UK France Spain Italy Canada (Vancouver) Japan My hobbies include knitting, listening to podcasts, going to the movies, trying out different sports (skating, climbing, yoga, running, jujitsu etc) and doing nail art. I like staying in hostels, Airbnb's and friends places. I'm a walking tour when it's possible kinda gal, enjoy museums, art performances, adventure activities, eating good food, very few drinks honestly, recreative and intentional use of earth medicine, deep talks and authentic interactions.

Hi!! I’m Dani, a Mexican traveler and architecture student. I speak Spanish, English, and French, and I’m learning Italian and German. I had the chance to live in France for a year as an exchange student. I love exploring new cultures through art, architecture, and food. I enjoy dancing, going out, meeting genuine people, and making the most out of life with good food and positive vibes. I’m currently traveling across Europe for summer vacation and would love to connect with other women travelers to share stories, tips, or just a nice walk through the city.
