Very safe city during the day. Mostly safe at night, depending on which part of the city are you in. I would not recommend going to less crowded areas at night or shady localities or near liquor shops because the crowd can be shady.

Chandigarh is very Safe. We all girls can freely live here and enjoy this place. I have been living here from 3 years and it never be inconvenient for me.i just love this place. Yes if I tell you you can also ho for late night walks

Chandigarh is really safe for girls because of its police force, they are really strict and is always active, but you should always stay alert and cautious because girls are not entirely safe anywhere in this world.
