It's better than other places in india. But still, it's important to take preventive measures. If you are planning to stay in a hotel, please DO NOT stay in a cheap hotel. 5 star hotels are the safest. If you are a female solo traveler, be accompanied by a trusted local.

Chandigarh, India is a very safe and peaceful city. Till today i have never experienced or heard cases of sexual harassment even in public transports and night clubs. After 12 o’clock midnight it gets quite on streets.
