Pilsen used to be more dangerous at night at certain parts in a city center. Streets Americká and Klatovská is not the best place to stay at night - i remember that people from other countries (ukraine) used to attack each other at streets and in the bars.. This was a few years ago, i dont live in city center but on the outskirts, i feel 100% safe here. And the center at night - i think its safer but i have no reason to go there at night.

I think, Pilsen isz really safe place, which is open for Tourismus. Yeah, we have some terrible places like in every city around the world. I love Pilsen!
