The only time I feel unsafe is when travelling alone after dark, but if you're with multiple girlfriends, or even one friend, you'll feel safe, or anyone any gender! I feel very safe using public transport, there is always a lot of people around in case something happens

Police is pretty much at every corner, very quick responsive time. At night a lot of people enjoy the city and are usually very helpful. In daytime you have absolutely nothing to worry about I feel very safe living in this city my whole life.

Pilsen is a totaly safe place. I would still recommend to avoid Americká street in the night - it is the street with all the clubs and the night buses. People are usually very drunk and something could happen. People in Czech Republic are quite racist but they usually keep it to themselfs - unless drunk. It is very common to see drunk people in the streets during the day - but they are usually not harmful. In a moment of discomfort seek someone near - people care. Public transport is reliable...
