Overall I loved it. There’s a beautiful castle and a lot of wonderful café and restaurant options. Unfortunately, I came on Sunday when everything was closed except for local pubs with Czech cuisine which I’m not very fond of 😅 so be ready to wait till Monday when everything awakes. Plenty of currency changing points in the centre too
Posted: February 10, 2026The food was amazing! The night life was fabulous! I haven’t gone out in ages and it was the single most best experience ever! I felts safe in and out of the club and the folks in the restaurants I went to were so helpful. Five starts

I felt very safe there are many activities. People's approach is nice. It is also close to many countries, which is a great advantage. I was able to go to Vienna, Germany and Lithuania with ease. I enjoyed every moment I lived here
Posted: August 16, 2024I loved Brno and I really enjoyed it there. Great shopping, food, very affordable prices, beautiful cathedral, cool castle, and excellent beers. The old town is beautiful.

Brno is a small city, known as a students' and IT place. It's safe both during the day and night, the only one suspicious district is around Ceil street. Personally, I can leave my bag in a cafe or library when I go to a bathroom, but sure it's a personal responsibility and I wouldn't recommend to do it anywhere, if you have important things in your bag.

Brno is safe city and not so crowded as Prahue. U can still hold ur phone in ur hand with low chance of anyone stealing it (but still be aware averywhere). No problems to travel alone around the city only i would recommend avoiding underground at night because lot of homeless people (but train underground is fine).
Posted: June 2, 2026Brno is a lifestyle. Small community. Small city with lot of culture. There is no reason to be scared of anything. It is the city like any other. People in general are very friendly and helpful. Feeling good after all

It's overall alright, there's a lot of people during the day, so you don't have to worry. Only at night, I would avoid train stations and Brno-Zábrdovice part of the city, since the criminality is higher there.

23-year-old Biomedical Engineering and Bioinformatics student, curious about both science and people. I am more of an introvert, usually recharging my batteries in nature, yet I enjoy deep conversations about life, dreams, religions and everything in between. When I am not coding, I enjoy hand-crafting, playing the violin, spending time outdoors, and occasionally treating myself to a theatre or opera performance. I also volunteer with elderly people and have a soft spot for repairing broken things around the house and cleaning. Most people would describe me as practical and realistic, but I still appreciate life's simple moments: watching sunsets, dreaming about the future, and finding beauty in the everyday.

Hi, I'm student from Brno, Czech republic. I do activism, ceramics, hiking, climbing, hitchhiking, sewing and much more. I don't like cars, capitalism, cruelty on all animals, nature and people. And I think (over)tourism is shit and people should stop just flying there and there and there just to take some photos and feel the vibe. It's dishonesting to locals/indigenous people. Airbnb takes their housing. Ski resorts destroy the nature. The planes and CO2... Oh my:(( Traveling can also be ethical... People who travel could help on locals volunteer projects like Food not bombs, dog shelter, clean the rivers/nature, help in refugee center etc.. There's a lot to do:)) And travelers could be accommodated in local pension, hostel, couchsurfing and not fucking Airbnb or booking. I write it here because I would like get the potential friends for traveling with me to know about my view on this, it's important for me.
