Safety at night:Safe

Public transport, including night buses and trams, runs regularly if you need to get around. Like anywhere else, nominal risk exists, especially in less crowded and dimly lit areas. Take standard precautions such as avoiding deserted areas, keeping an eye on your belongings, and having your phone handy.

Public transportation in Brno is generally safe. Buses, trams, and trains operate frequently and routes are extensive. Even during late hours, safety measures are in place such as proper lighting and security cameras. While it is important to always stay alert for personal belongings, incidents of pick-pocketing or harassment are relatively rare. As with any location, it is still recommended to maintain vigilance and awareness of one's surroundings.

I felt very safe there are many activities. People's approach is nice. It is also close to many countries, which is a great advantage. I was able to go to Vienna, Germany and Lithuania with ease. I enjoyed every moment I lived here

In general, Brno is very safe. I have no problem walking or using public transport alone after dark. There are places where strange existences congregate (the main train station), but usually you just have to ignore them. The possibility of some kind of harassment is probably everywhere in the world. In Brno there is usually no danger.

As always, it depends on which part of the city you're in. In daylight I wouldn't be worried anywhere, at night/when it gets dark I wouldn't recommend going through Cejl or being at main train station alone. Not that anything would happen to you, but some really weird individuals are there at night and I personally feel uneasy traveling through there alone at night. Ignore drunks and ignore sketchy looking people. Czechs aren't usually very talkative with strangers, so some random person talkig to me on the street would raise some red flags for me (but in bars/clubs/pubs or other social spaces people can be friendly)

I loved Brno and I really enjoyed it there. Great shopping, food, very affordable prices, beautiful cathedral, cool castle, and excellent beers. The old town is beautiful.
