In Czech Republic there are similar levels of criminality in each town. I've heard about 3 people being killed in past year. There is a lot of drug addicts in the streets especially at the train stations.

I never feel good in a city when it is dark or night already. But at normal daylight time Hradec Králové is a nice place. Definitely reccommend being careful - mainly as a foreigner. And definitely around the main train station!! Never walk there with your headphones on and always look around you. But overall I would say you won't feel unwelcome. I studied there for 3 years and never had a dangerous experience

You need to take care with the drunks and the drug addicts. The city is super safe, but some areas like the Main Train Station can be dangerous at night. Even inside of pubs, you need to take care with men: they are usually drunk and aggressive, and czech people don't understand much about respecting women's boundaries.

It’s multicultural and lots of friends from different parts of the world, ethnicities, races and genders have reported that they also feel safe here. It’s a university city so everything is pretty safe

I would say Hradec Kralove is a pretty safe city. I've lived here my whole life and the only uncomfortable thing I ever experienced is cat calling and and weird men approaching me and talking to me, but it doesn't happen to me that often
