I am traveling with my best friend and we stayed at the best spot Hostel. We had some problems with changing the money from euro to Krone but after that it was super nice to walk through the city and join a free tour. The food was also very nice and there were many different options to choose from😋
Posted: July 25, 2025Experienced: June, 2025I felt safe in Prague. I recommend going to a restaurant Čertovka there is the narrowest Street in Prague that leads you into this restaurant, the drinks are good there and the wiew is really pretty. I also recommend going to the Prague Castle, the wiew is amazing and the castle is really pretty.

I felt safe, nothing like harassment or robberies are common. You should be careful at crowded places though. You should go eat trdelník, visit Pražský hrad, Karlov bridge and go clubbing. I wouldn’t say the national cuisine is rather delicious, but apparently I wasn’t flabbergasted as I am Slavic. The public transport is great, you can have a ticket for subway, tram, bus all in one. It’s quick and comfortable as it is all over Europe. Easy to figure out which itinerary you need as there are boards with directions.

Prauge is fairly inexpensive when is comes to food costs, and me and my friend managed to find a hotel in central Prague for 200$ total for three nights for both of us. A must see-activity is the national museum in central Prague, where there’s historical motifs of the Second World War and artistic interpretations of Prague through out the time!

Fine infrastructure, well or and clean capital , even if it's full off tourists, it is still very nice and lovely, very rich historical culture, architecture. Good food, good prices and welcoming hosts.
Posted: June 29, 2025I felt very safe. The food was average, but we also did not eat local foods or researched where to eat. So that could probably been „our fault“. But it also wasn’t bad. The city was very beautiful. We walked a lot, but you could also use the local tram. It came very regularly and the tickets weren‘t expensive.

Prague is generally safe for girls, but watch out for pickpockets in busy tourist areas. Be cautious around the main railway station and nearby parks, as there can be drug addicts and homeless people who might be unpredictable. Otherwise, it’s a great city to explore comfortably on your own.

Prague despite being the capital of the Czech Republic is among the safest places you can visit. The worst things that ever happened to me (and I was a very stupid teenager with no sense of self preservation) was unwanted chats and invitations or people touching my hair when it was really long (sadly as we know, this usually affects younger girls, it got better as we aged). But as long as you enforce your boundaries, nothing’s going to happen. Be confident and don’t be afraid to be loud and you’ll be completely safe. The only thing you should be cautious about are tourist scams (check out Honest Guide on YouTube - taxis, exchanges) and I’ve heard pick pocketing is on the rise in Europe in general, though I have no experience with that. I know that after what I wrote it might seem scary, but it is actually rarely the case that anything bad will happen to you in Prague.
