Solo travel

Overall, it was a wonderful experience . I feel safe in Winnipeg. The people there are friendly. Things are cheaper comparing with other cities in Canada. I met a lot of friends during my working holiday.

Winnipeg is a safe town full of wonderful people. I felt safe here and I recommend a solo travel here. People are wonderful and happy to help out foreigners. I’d love to come back cause I made some friends over here. If you walk alone no one will bother you which is great!

Winnipeg is fairly safe. Always be careful at night. Most crime is in downtown area. Avoid it at night alone. You may see beggars, homeless people and encampments downtown and along river. They usually won’t bother you if you don’t bother them. I am always on edge a little and watching out for erratic behaviour in folks and steering clear in those cases. Generally safe if you follow all usual rules about safety.

Winnipeg is not really safe especially in downtown and northern areas. You need to be careful and try not to have any contact with aggressive people. If you want to be outside at evening or night it’s better not be alone

The whole city is just fine other than two areas. Avoid going into the north end. Downtown is also somewhere to avoid at night and alone. Other areas are completely safe and nothing to worry about<<3.

Winnipeg is safe for the most part. But we avoid the downtown area at night. Crime rates are high but I personally have not seen anything brutal or intense. The residential areas are safe, but I wouldn’t go walking at night

It’s safe depending on where and when you are. Some areas are less safe than others. I think it’s probably just as safe as some other North American major cities. I’ve lived here all my life and have barely had any problems with safety.
