I visited Lake Louise in late March and it was absolutely stunning! I was lucky enough to get a sunny day where I could see the mountains, the lake was still frozen so I walked on the surface which was so cool to experience. Definitely worth a visit, just make sure you get a park pass in the information center!

Went for a Christmas vacation with family and it was delightful. The Victorian architecture was beautiful and the highlight of the trip was definitely the Butchart Gardens. It was decorated with lights for the holidays and it was a great time despite heavy rainfall that day
Posted: February 18, 2026I cannot say this is an exciting city. Even though it’s the biggest city in Canada, it feels like a small city with not so much sights to see. Things are expensive, so be prepared to spend a lot. The diversity and authenticity in different foods are great. People here seem unhappy. Safety-wise, it’s okay. I wouldn’t walk around alone late at night.

Usually a very safe city, sadly there are a lot of homeless people around metro stations, which would be the biggest cause for unsafety. They are there more nightly than daily, they don’t bother you or be mad at you unless you’re directly interacting with them or did something to them. I would not recommend parc-extension area during the night, anywhere is okay during the day usually.
Posted: April 6, 2026Vancouver is a mostly safe city, though like with major cities around the world there are some areas that are best to avoid -especially at night. The downtown eastside (especially the area surrounding the Main & Hastings St intersection) is the “Skidrow” area of Vancouver.

Québec City is very safe for women, even solo—low crime, little harassment, and easy to walk around, including at night. Just use normal precautions like anywhere, but overall it’s a really comfortable and friendly place to travel alone. It is considered one of the safest city in North America ;)

Just your regular Canadian Dirtbabe, feral introvert. I enjoy connecting through shared experiences, swimming, hikes, camping, good food, and live music! Nature is my medicine, also where I source a lot of food. I spend a lot of time searching out fresh Springs and hot Springs. I like to exit society for extended periods of time in the forest.

Hippy values, Nerd hobbies. Hi! I just joined TL to help women who are travelling to Vancouver, either by giving information or showing the sights, or possibly by hosting. So if you have any questions about Vancouver or the surrounding area (which is known as the “lower mainland”), feel welcome to ask. Important: I might not be able to reply to your messages immediately, BUT I will reply as soon as I can.
