I traveled solo to Canada and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I spent three months between Edmonton, Banff, and Calgary, and honestly… the landscapes completely blew my mind. Everything feels so safe — there’s literally no sense of insecurity, even when you’re on your own. And the best part is that I didn’t even pay for accommodation, because I was doing volunteer house-sitting and pet-sitting. Banff especially was magical. Canada is definitely a place I’d go back to a thousand times
Posted: December 1, 2025Toronto is such a beautiful city with an amazing atmosphere! I stayed with family in Rosedale during July and the weather was incredible. I never once felt unsafe during my visit, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming!

Modern and clean city with plenty to do during the Summer. Lots of events, concerts, festivals going on for the whole period. Large cosmopolitan city so it's easy to meet people or travel buddies, if you're open to it. Had the most wonderful meal at Alo Bar. Love the amount of ice cream shops too.

I have traveled to Toronto 3 times recently, solo and with a friend. Most recently was for Caribana, celebrating Caribbean culture. There were many events taking place. Though I am not Caribbean, it was open to everyone. Driving in city wasn't too bad, though I am not used to street cars or light rails. Felt very safe and very diverse. Food was good. Didn't have too much Canadian only food but the Beaver Tails. Night life was great!
Posted: October 17, 2025Our trip was amazing! If you want to experience a piece of Canadian wilderness, this is your sign to visit! The park has campsites, yurts, lodges, and resorts, but my group stayed in Huntsville and drove over. I would recommend the portage store, logging museum, and visitor centre. We didn't see moose, but we did see loons!

North Vancouver is in general a safe and quiet place to be. Peaceful on the trails. Close to mountains for skiing and hiking, I've never felt unsafe in North Vancouver and I have lived for over 5 years. Vancouver downtown can be unsafe at times.
Posted: December 11, 2025St. John’s is a relatively safe city if you use common sense. Most violent crimes are related to participating in other criminal activities. When visiting use the same common sense that you would in any other city and you should be completely fine!

Very chill city, people are calm and nice, there are homeless people around certain pockets but they usually mind their own business, just have to get used to seeing them on the streets and don’t actively interact with them
Posted: November 18, 2025I’ve never had any problems ever since I moved in Quebec City last year. It is a very safe environment for women :) You are never 100% safe from a catcall or something like that but you will never be in danger here
Posted: November 17, 2025It's generally safe here, certain areas of town are higher in crime but if you avoid walking around those neighborhoods alone at night you'll be ok. I walk home from Broadway area at night all the time and never any issues. Downtown and other areas west you're better off with friends or using rideshare/cab, or ebikes in the summer.

I’m an arts enthusiast with a deep love for theater, a dedicated foodie, and an avid cook who finds joy in creating delicious meals. Friendly and open-minded, I thrive on exploring new experiences and ideas. I cherish time spent on the beach and enjoy hiking in nature. Above all, I nurture connections that enrich both myself and others, believing in the power of relationships to make us fundamentally better people.

Passionate about gastronomy, an avid and intrepid traveler, I have traveled a good part of the world. I currently live in my fourth country and I have traveled to 34 countries, interrailed twice in Europe, road-tripped in Africa, and spent two and a half years living in the Middle East, which are all part of my travel portfolio. I speak 4 languages and understand some words in two more. Passionate about discovering new cultures and things. I like to read and to play chess. But I am also a sporty and an adventurer. Always searching for that special hidden gem where nobody has ever been. I'm more of a beach and sea girl rather than nature, but I enjoy both.
