Is Quebec City safe for solo female travelers?

Quebec City stands as one of the safest cities in the world, even for solo female travelers. The crime rate is very low, and the city promotes a pleasant and friendly environment. Local people are known for their politeness, willingness to help, and most of them also speak English. As always, basic safety precautions are advised, such as not walking alone late at night in less crowded areas and keeping an eye on your belongings. But these are general tips and not because Quebec City is a dangerous place. In fact, it is the opposite. It's culturally rich, welcoming, and safe for exploring.

Québec was very nice little city ! I felt very safe and people were very kind. Accommodation : I stayed at youth hotel Qbeds. Which was good for a first time because you have curtains around your bed and the atmosphere is very cool. If you like silence maybe it is not the best place to sleep on the Friday and Saturday cause there will be parties. Visits: I booked a ticket to have a guided visit of Frontenac castle follow by a brunch to the castle restaurant. By the way the brunch is amazing. I did a cruise until Orleans island and waterfalls of Montmorency. It was beautiful. Good...

I felt extremely safe. The areas are generally crowded but it’s filled with people having a good time. The food is absolutely amazing. There’s a lot of culture, I recommend the castle tour. Try any restaurant that serves game (I.e. rabbit, venison etc) I drove but it was easy getting by just walking. Parking is safe. Things are a bit more expensive. I didn’t stay in Quebec City but about 30 minutes away.

I’ve never had any problems ever since I moved in Quebec City last year. It is a very safe environment for women :) You are never 100% safe from a catcall or something like that but you will never be in danger here

It’s a place when were you are walking alone… whether it’s in the day or in the night, danger isn’t your number 1 priority, the thing you mostly think about is having fun. Tho like in every place it’s smart to be careful and not giving your fully trust into anyone! P.S: people are usually friendly and respectful

Of course it can be dangerous in bars, there’s always malicious person, but I walked a thousand times alone, at 3am, summer and winter and I’ve never been arrassed or wte. Of course I’m scared because ✨I’m a girl✨, but nothing never happened to me.
