Is Mississauga safe for solo female travelers?

Mississauga is generally considered very safe for solo female travelers. The living conditions are decent and cases of violence, especially directed against women, are rare. The local authorities are responsive and community members tend to look out for each other. Also, it is quite common to see women traveling alone, especially in urban areas. Local transportation is reliable and safe, and street lighting in most parts is adequate for night travel. Therefore, as long as basic safety precautions and travel sense are applied, it should be a secure and comfortable trip.

It is safe but recently there is crimes of break in houses to steal and stores are also exposed to thieves everyday. I would advise for solo female traveler to always be carful and lock their accommodation doors well and all windows.

Pretty safe if you’re in the busy areas I’d say, like Square One and Heartland areas. Lots of people around at all times. I feel comfortable walking around the neighbourhoods, the suburban areas are quiet in my opinion.
