Mississauga is generally considered very safe for solo female travelers. The living conditions are decent and cases of violence, especially directed against women, are rare. The local authorities are responsive and community members tend to look out for each other. Also, it is quite common to see women traveling alone, especially in urban areas. Local transportation is reliable and safe, and street lighting in most parts is adequate for night travel. How safe is Mississauga for women?

Pretty safe if you’re in the busy areas I’d say, like Square One and Heartland areas. Lots of people around at all times. I feel comfortable walking around the neighbourhoods, the suburban areas are quiet in my opinion.
