Stockbridge is a quiet, tiny little town with almost no crime to worry about. This is the kind of town where a person can leave their home and car unlocked and not worry about anything being broken into or stolen. It is safe to walk alone at any time of night. The police have almost nothing to occupy them other than driving up and down the main road, of which the town mostly consists, so they remain present throughout the night (and they are also very nice). If I had to name a few things that could cause concern for safety, they would be: - using caution in crosswalks - particularly at night, - keeping an eye out for black bears that may have gotten into dumpsters in town, - watching for deer while driving. There is almost no public transportation in Stockbridge, nothing convenient or often accessible, so I can’t speak to the safety of what is available.
