Nevada City is a small town, it is safe and everyone knows eachother and people are very friendly in the town. There are a lot of people who own guns and marijuana growers so it’s important to not wonder on someone’s property when backpacking because it might be a grow sight and the owner might have a gun which is dangerous. Women wear whatever they want and go swimming naked in the river which is safe, but go in a group because there are spots with no cell service and that is dangerous to be alone. Like everywhere, some men are creepy and they may live remotely in the forest with no cell reception so don’t go home with them if you don’t know them. But mainly everyone is very friendly and the town is small and safe and surrounded by the most beautiful wilderness.
