Muncie is a college town in rural Indiana. It has numerous stores and restaurants and is only an hour drive from the state capital, Indianapolis. It is pretty quiet here. Public transport is lacking and I would not suggest visiting with transportation plans.
Posted: January 9, 2025Muncie is a college town. The north side is more wealthy and the south side is considered poorer and more dangerous. People are generally friendly and I think it’s safer compared to similar college towns.

I am a senior in college studying English Education and music! I took my first solo trip after a bad breakup and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I really love being able to meet locals and engage with new cultures, rather than just staying in hotels. I look forward to meeting you!!

My name is Jordan and I live in Indiana, USA. Married since 2009 and have 3 kids, ages 5-12. So excited for the opportunity to do some solo travel, and thankful for the opportunity. I love learning about the history of people and places.
